AtomTrace Supports Research at UFSC, Brazil

On our recent trip to Latin America, AtomTrace successfully completed the installation and training of our Sci-Trace instrument at the Brazilian Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) in Florianopolis. This marked a significant collaboration with UFSC’s esteemed Professor Gustavo Nicolodelli, who leads a team of researchers engaged in forward-thinking scientific work.

UFSC, one of Brazil’s most highly regarded universities, is renowned for its academic excellence and innovative research programs across a wide range of disciplines. We are proud to contribute to this legacy with our technology, which will support new avenues of exploration in materials analysis.

Our CTO, Peter Bartko, and LIBS expert, Dominik Bruzl, led the on-site installation and training sessions. Their expertise ensured a seamless integration of an unique Sci-Trace configuration into UFSC’s research capabilities. Throughout the multi-day training, the UFSC team demonstrated a keen interest, actively participating in discussions and gaining hands-on experience with the equipment.

This project was carried out in close collaboration with our Brazilian partner, SETUP Instruments4Labs, whose support helped facilitate the smooth coordination.

We are excited to continue building strong relationships in South America as this was already our second visit to the region this year. The positive outcomes from these visits motivate us to explore even more opportunities for future scientific partnerships.

We look forward to seeing the great strides Professor Nicolodelli’s team will make with Sci-Trace and remain committed to supporting UFSC in their upcoming research projects.

Until next time, LATAM!
