Key Changes in the Income Statement

Significant Revenue Increase: Revenue from sales of products and services in 2023 reached 21,121 thousand CZK, representing a fundamental increase in the company’s business activity compared to the previous year, when revenue was only 60 thousand CZK. This jump in turnover is also a key positive indicator of a change in the company’s growth dynamics. The company reached this turning point nearly 10 years after its inception, emerging from the CEITEC research center in Brno in 2014 as a start-up with the goal of commercializing the LIBS method and its applications.

Dramatic Improvement in Profitability: In 2023, EBITDA turned from a deep loss of -17,847 thousand CZK (2022) to a profit of 1,921 thousand CZK (2023). Similarly, the operating result shows a fundamental turnaround from -17,973 thousand CZK to 1,996 thousand CZK.

Significant Changes in the Balance Sheet

Substantial Debt Reduction: The total liabilities of the company decreased from 38,970 thousand CZK to 29,320 thousand CZK. This is a result of the complete repayment of the company’s debts to banks. Liabilities to credit institutions plummeted from 9,261 thousand CZK in 2022 to just 40 thousand CZK in 2023, making the company now completely free from earlier bank financing.

The year 2023 represents a pivotal year for AtomTrace a.s. in terms of turnover and profitability creation. Moreover, the company not only achieved excellent results in its operational activities but also dramatically reduced its dependence on external financing. The results for 2023 thus indicate stabilization, financial strength, and independence of the company, built on solid foundations without obligations to banking institutions, which is a crucial step towards long-term sustainability and stability.
