Strong Start at XIII LIBS2024: Inspiring Day 1 in Iguazu
We’ve just wrapped up an incredible first day at the XIII LIBS2024 Conference in Iguazu, and there’s so much to share! Our CTO, Peter Bartko, had the distinct honor of co-opening this prestigious event, which is a key gathering for experts and innovators in the field of Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS). The conference, also serving as the II LATAM LIBS Conference, has already set the stage for a week full of groundbreaking insights and advancements in LIBS technology.
The first day was packed with inspiring presentations, covering a wide range of applications for LIBS technology—from forensic science to underwater analysis. These talks provided new perspectives and deep dives into how LIBS is being utilized across various industries, highlighting the versatility and growing importance of this technology.
One of the highlights of the day was the poster session, where researchers from all over the world presented their latest findings. Among them was our own Dominik Bruzl, whose poster garnered significant attention. Dominik’s work, which has already earned him two awards this year, stood out for its innovation and relevance, underscoring the cutting-edge research being conducted at AtomTrace.
We were also thrilled by the interest shown in our Sci-Trace and M-Trace. The enthusiasm from attendees suggests that the coming days will not only be filled with enriching scientific discussions but also potential collaborations and business opportunities. The first day has set a strong tone for what’s to come, and we’re excited about the possibilities that lie ahead.
As we continue to engage with the global LIBS community, we’re looking forward to the valuable insights and connections that this conference will bring. Stay tuned for more updates as we delve deeper into the exciting world of LIBS technology at LIBS2024!
